Kids who have difficulty acquiring or learning certain foundational skills in early childhood can face serious consequences later in life.  Poor or limited language, lack of social  reciprocation, improper play, atypical or repetitive behaviors, poor eye contact, and motor skill deficits may indicate a child has a developmental delay.  Often diagnosed by a pediatrician before 3 as Autism, PDD or other delay.  

 

That can be difficult news for any family to hear, but have hope!  These are brilliant, loving children.  SuperHeros!  Its not that they can’t learn, they just learn a little different from the average child.  Modifying “behavior” through positive reinforcement is one of the best ways toward achieving these skills.  Early childhood offers a window of opportunity to put them on the right path toward success and life long learning.
